The sweetest flower

Happy Hump Day! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and were able to spend time with those you love. We spent most of the day with my sister and her family.

One of the gifts I received was the 3 Step Daisy from Kitchen Sink Stamps. It's a beautiful floral set of clear stamps. When I saw the sketch challenge for today on SCS, I knew I has to use these new stamps. The flowers are stamped as 3 parts, so you can use different colors and get a lot of depth. I used apricot appeal, regal rose and rose red. For the leaves, I used certainly celery and wild wasabi. Two of the flowers are cut out and layered over the others, and all the leaves are cut out. The Victorian Sunflower Backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms is stamped in regal rose on apricot appeal card stock. The sentiment is from a Papertrey set called Green Thumb. The circles are all cut with my cuttlebug and nestabilities circle dies.

The details:
stamps: 3 step daisy (Kitchen Sink Stamps), victorian sunflower blackgrounder (Cornish Heritage Farms), sentiment (Papertrey Ink)
paper: apricot appeal, basic black, cameo coral, very vanilla
ink: apricot appeal, regal rose, rose red, certainly celery, wild wasabi, basic black
other: cuttlebug, nestabilities circle dies (Spellbinders), brayer, diamond stickles (Ranger), mounting tape

Have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Melodie,

You have a blog! How wonderful! I finally dug myself out from under the piles of papers and bills at work and home. I received your message that I was tagged but did not have a chance to play. I'll get right on it. Thanks for the tag and I can't wait to look thru your blog. I always enjoy your work. Have a Happy New Year!
