triangle fold medallion

Hello, everyone. It seems like a long time since I've been able to do some of the daily challenges on splitcoast. When I looked at the technique challenge today, I decided to make a card that I could use in my class tomorrow. Since the class is a large group, I needed to keep the card fairly simple, so the only thing that will take much time is the medallion. I decided to use some papers from a stack that I've had for a long time. By picking some of the greens, it worked for a Christmas card. I cut my circles using my cuttlebug and nestabilities. The photo corner punch is a double punch with two different options.

The 2nd card I have to show you is a bit similar to the one in my last post, but no designer paper was used. This card is also for my class.

I stamped the caramel with sanded background in creamy caramel ink. The flowers and leaves were stamped on white with black stazon. This is a 2-step stamping set called Fancy Flowers. I used the 2nd step on the leaves with wild wasabi ink, but for the flowers, I simply used a sponge to ink up the flower in taken with teal, by pressing very hard and rubbing the sponge around in circles to get a nice even color. Then I used a sponge dauber for the flower centers in not quite navy. Then, instead of cutting out the flowers, I simply punched them out with my scallop circle punch and sponged the edges with not quite navy. By doubling up some of the pairs of leaves, it gives more fullness to them.
