Hello, my friends. I can't seem to get warm today. I added socks and a sweatshirt, but my hands are still cold. I even have the heat on. It's cloudy, windy, and a little rainy. Maybe a few trips up and down the stairs would warm me up.
It has been many weeks since I've participated in Grungy Monday. These challenges are all about the products and creativity of Tim Holtz. So when I saw Linda's post for Tim in 10, how could I resist.
My card actually took less than 10 minutes to create.
I started by swiping some distress stains (milled lavender, victorian velvet & aged mahogany) across a piece of ivory card stock. A quick dry with my heat gun and then I added some tea dye distress ink around the edges with a sponge.
I stamped the bird and sentiment in Adirondack Pitch Black and then used a sponge dauber to add some aged mahogany to the bird.
The foliage was colored with dusty concord and peeled paint distress inks and stamped on both sides. The card base is burgundy.
All stamps are Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Love the card and great colours.
Beautiful card, love the way you used the colors. I've tried this stamp of the bird on the branch before but haven't been happy with the results but I've never used black ink. I will have to give it a try because I love the way your card turned out. Thanks!
I really like how you just swipe the colors against the card base...Very cool
This is a work of art, Melody. Love it!
