holy cow

Hello my friends.  Last night I found this cute digital image (free this week) on Bugaboo Stamps.  I normally don't do 'cute', but I thought this one was just the thing for a fun birthday card.  My little brother (although at 6'3", he's by no means little) turns 59 on Halloween and I'm seeing him today, so I just had to make him this fun card.  I used this "crybaby calf" book as my inspiration for the inspiration challenge today on SCS.

 

The image is colored with copic markers.  The background is fax leather, created by crumpling some card stock and coating it with tea dye distress stain, drying and then giving it a coat of matte gel medium.  I used an iron to flatten it out.

The strip of faux wood is a scrap left from a previous project.  The brads are also faux, punches of grungeboard colored with black copic marker. 

The sentiment inside, which is computer generated, says: "You're HOW old?"
