a steampunk tag

Hello my friends.  I hope you are having a great week.  Today I got all my cards ready for my classes on Thursday.  Then DH & I went out to eat with some friends for Valentine's day and for our friend's birthday.  After we got back home, I made this tag for a challenge at OWSE yahoo group for a steampunk tag. 

I really had no idea where I was going with this, so I just let it evolve as I went along.  The background on the tag is a digital old world map and the face is also digital. 

I used mini gears, sewing room and heart wing dies to cut cereal box chipboard for all the pieces.  They are all colored with black & copper paint dabbers, with a little bit of silver and white also.  I added some color to the face with copic markers.

I wanted to tone down the background, so I lightly went over it with picket fence paint dabber.
