Hi friends. Here's my card for today's challenge for breast cancer awareness on SCS.
Challenge twenty-six -- Impossible Things Happen. A card inspired by a fairy tale.
For awhile I was really stumped by this challenge. I have no stamps that have anything to do with fairy tales. And I already used the idea for Cinderella's carriage for another challenge. I thought about using an apple (Snow White), but I don't have an apple stamp either. I decided to go on line and see if I could find a digital image to use. And then I remembered that I have a dollar stamp of a high heel shoe. Perfect! I can make Cinderella's glass slipper!
I stamped the shoe in tuxedo black memento ink and die cut it with a spellbinders circle die. I embossed it and sponged with cool caribbean ink. I colored the shoe with copic markers, trying to get the look of glass. Then I decided to go one step further and added crystal effects. This is not one of my favorite products, and I wasn't happy with it, so I scraped it all off. But I still wanted to shoe to be glossy, so I colored over it with a versamarker and then added clear embossing powder & heated it. I used two coats. For a little extra bling, I added a rhinestone.
I decided to add a frame with a tear drop circle die cut from cool caribbean card stock. On the white card base, I stamped the tiniest snowflake from snow swirled (SU) and added some sparkles with a marker. Then I added some glitter to make it look like fairy dust. The sentiment is from a set of words I bought years ago at a local craft store.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.

The glass slipper is genius! I actually think it fits perfectly with the "believe" sentiment!
