inchie art

Hi my friends.  With so many challenges in honor of world card making day, I have found it hard to choose which ones I'd like to do.  I made this card for a challenge on the Classroom.  The challenge was to make a fall themed card using an inchie to spotlight a larger image.

I kept my card very simple.  I used three different hero arts stamps.  First I stamped the woodgrain on ivory cardstock with scattered straw distress ink.  Then I stamped the leaves on top of that with frayed burlap distress ink.  I stamped just a portion of the leaves with shabby shutters distress ink on ivory and punched it out with a 1" square punch.  I backed it with black and popped it up on top of the same place in the larger image.

I used deckle scissors to cut around the big image and sponged the edge with frayed burlap and added some piercing from the back.

The sentiment is stamped in jet black stazon.  Everything is mounted on black and then a kiwi kiss card base.

To highlight the inchie, I used a fine black marker and outlined all the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I love it, I have recently gotten into card making so I don't really know what some of this stuff is but you did great work! I look forward to more of your creations!
