Two tees in ipod

Hello everyone. On Thursday evening, over in the member forums on splitcoast, Gina K was having another release party. There are always some challenges and winners are drawn from those who participate, so I like to play along. So far, I've done two of the three. I hope to find time to do the third one as well. The first one was a sketch challenge. As I've often mentioned, I don't use a lot of designer paper. But for this card, I decided to pull out a 6x6 pad of 2-sided paper by Black Market Paper Society that I recently bought through Gina's store. The pad is called Let it Bloom. I pulled out 2 coordinating pieces and added some card stock for a very quick card. The stamps are from Botanical Dreams (Gina K). I stamped the large flower 3 times on white card stock with black stazon. Then I took a sponged and rubbed the ink around in a circle, using quite a bit of pressure, to color the flower. This flower has a lot of narrow petals and I really didn't want to cut around them all, so I grabbed my SU scallop circle punch and punched out 2 of them. The third one I used a new EK Success whale punch that is just a bit smaller than the SU one. I used another stamp in the set behind the flowers. Added some buttons to the flowers and popped up the front one. This card took about 15 minutes to make.

supplies
stamps: botanical dreams (Gina K)
ink: taken with teal, elegant eggplant
paper: taken with teal, creamy caramel, dp (let it bloom, Black Market Paper Society)
other: sponge, scallop circle punches (SU & EK Success), foam tape

For the 2nd card I did, the challenge was to use at least 3 different stamp sets on one card. It's preferred that you use all Gina K stamps. I only have 4 Gina K stamp sets, so I had to get a little creative. I started by stamping the tee shirt from Little Tees on some cream card stock. Then on one I used flowers from Peace & Comfort and on the other I used the same flower from Botanical Dreams that I used on the first card. I'm not sure why the colors don't match -- the blue stamped on the left shirt is my ballet blue ink pad and the right shirt is my ballet blue marker (looks like 2 different colors). Then I cut the tee shirts out. I had to think awhile to come up with a card idea, though. I finally decided to try making a card that resembled an Ipod. Did a Google search for a picture. I decided to use artistic liberties and made the card a normal A2 size. The card base is bashful blue, with the corners rounded and edges sponged with ballet blue. I made a screen with basic black and basic gray card stock and simply let the tees pop out of the screen. The menu circle was made by tracing something round, cutting it out and punching out the center with 3/4" circle punch. Since I'm having some printer issues, I just hand drew the markings on the circle.

supplies
stamps: little tees, botanical dreams, peace & comfort (Gina K)
ink: jet black stazon, ballet blue, bravo burgundy
paper: bashful blue, basic black, basic gray, whisper white, cream
other: sponge, 3/4" circle punch, micron pigma marker

I'm so glad you stopped by today. Be blessed.
