twice inspired

Hello everyone. I was able to make a card for Saturday's inspiration challenge on SCS. Actually, I combined this challenge with the challenge from the previous week all on one card. I really liked the colors from the teen girls rooms with attitude - black, white and aqua.

I pulled out the set friends 24-7 which I've had for awhile, but most of the stamps hadn't even been inked yet. I stamped the design element a number of times on a piece of cool caribbean to make a background, sponged the edges and added faux stitching. This I glued to a black card base.

I wanted a contrasting strip, so I stamped the flourish from baroque motifs in cool caribbean on white to simulate the curly design on the center illustration here. Again, the edges were sponged and faux stitched.

For the main image, I stamped the bird in cool caribbean on white - more sponging and faux stitching. I added some black brads and a crocheted flower with a button. The image panel is popped up.

This card actually went together pretty quickly, something that has not been happening for me lately.

What's in it?
stamps: friends 24-7, baroque motifs (SU)
ink: basic black, cool caribbean
paper: basic black, whisper white, cool caribbean
other: sponge dauber, piercing tool, black brads, button, crochet flower, foam tape

I'm so glad you stopped by. Be blessed.

Very nice. I like the mono tone to this. And I always admire anyone who can combine different patterns and make them look good (something that I struggle with!)

Just beautifully done with the cool caribbean. Really miss that beautiful SU color. The crochet flower with the black button in the center really sets this card off.
