Hi everyone. I managed to fit in another card tonight. I checked the site that is listed for the inspiration challenge on SCS for this week and came across a beautiful Segovia Chandelier priced at more than $22,000. That kinda blows me away. You can buy a car for less than that. I just can't see paying that much money for a light fixture. Anyway, that's what I used as the inspiration for my card.
I got an idea and ran with it. Sometimes (or I should say most of the time) I have a hard time doing that. I keep second guessing myself and keep wavering about what I want to do on a card. But tonight, I decided to just get it done and it came together quite easily.
I stamped the flourish (Inkadinkado) in night of navy and then again in brilliant blue on white cardstock. I even used my stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I got a nice double image.
Then I stamped the butterfly (Innovative Stamp Creations) three times -- once on the card and two times on scrap paper, which I sponged, cut out and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I added a couple tiny pieces of dimensional tape under the wings to make them pop up.
I put a lot of blue jewels all over the flourish.
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonder-filled weekend.
The sentiment is from a set called vintage butterflies from Cornish Heritage Farms.
