Hi my friends. Yesterday's inspiration challenge had so many choices. I picked out a beautiful ring that I thought would inspire a simple card. Well, I'm sure you all know what happens. What I had in mind didn't work out, sooooo..... with a few changes along the way.... Althuogh my card is only two pieces of cardstock, the process was a bit more complicated and time consuming.
I started by stamping the bird (carte postale - SU) in brilliant blue and white cardstock. Then using a couple of masks created with my spellbinders ovals, I sponged the cool caribbean and turquoise around the bird. Then I outlined and doodled in the area for the frame with chocolate chip marker. I then took my blender pen and washed out the ink a bit and spread it around. I added just a tiny bit of more mustard ink for a more golden tone.
The sentiment (CHF) was stamped in chocolate chip ink.
I used a ticket corner punch in the corners, glued that piece to cool caribbean, and added some white pearls on the frame and in the corners.
Thanks for stopping by.
