creative chemistry 101 -day 4

Hello, my friends.  I don't normally work outside the home, but occasionally I get asked to work on a special project.  Today was one of those days, so I didn't get to check out the class content for Creative Chemistry 101 by Tim Holtz until this evening.  Since I know if I let one day slide and don't get the homework done, it gets much harder to catch up, I was determined to get my tags done tonight.

The first technique was watercoloring with re-inkers.  I really love how this tag turned out.

The second technique was layered misting.  I almost decided to not do this one, because I didn't want to make ink mists, but I went ahead and did it anyway.  I'm sure that I'll use them now that I have them.

The third technique was making a custom stamp pad.  I didn't have cut & dry felt, but I did have a very old package of cut & dry foam.  And although Tim said specifically that we shouldn't use the foam for this type ink pad, the package actually showed doing that very thing.  So I went ahead and made mine that way.  I'm sure the felt would have been a better choice, but I just used what I had and it worked OK.

We've been having such beautiful weather, it makes me want to plant my garden, but I know it's still possible to get snow or frost.  I'm so glad you stopped by today.

Gorgeous as always :) I use my colour washes to make mists lol... So will probably stick to them rather than use my reinkers unless I want a specific colour. I am a day behind ugh :( The late uploading yesterday meant I didn't get the vids til my morning time and I had to go to school with my youngest. Bye the time I got home day 5 was up argh... (I live is australia) Have a lovely weekend :)

Fantastic tags! I had to use the foam as well because I didn't have the felt either. Mine didn't turn out real well, but good enough for the example. i loved the watercolor one.

Great tags! I thought the same thing with the mists..I ended up making 3..I put them out on my desk so I make sure I use them. I figure if they are "out" they will get used. Thanks for sharing..It makes the class extra fun!
