So I had this page where I had gotten a bit carried away with my ink sprays and ended up with mud. For an art journal page, that's rather ugly and I could easily have covered it over with gesso and started over. As I looked at my mud, I tried to figure out how I could incorporate the brown into a background.
After playing around with some designer paper and not having anything work for me, I started thinking that maybe I could make a brown and cream page.
I remembered that I recently acquired the hello, doily stamp from SU and hadn't even inked it up yet. So I inked it with some versamark, stamped it on my mud, added some antique ivory embossing powder and heated. I liked it... no, I LOVED it! This is such a gorgeous stamp, and since I crochet doilies, it fits me. So I pulled out some Spellbinders dies (floral flourishes, Parisian accents, and wonderful wings), die cut, embossed and stenciled them with tea dye distress ink, all on cream card stock, and soon had a page I love. I added words with a white gel pen and I was done. Ugly became beautiful.

What a great transformation. I have been going through your blog looking at the Creative Chemistry 101 projects and think to myself that my tags don't look nearly as good as yours. Maybe I should just keep playing with them until I make them into something I like :)
