Friends

Happy Saturday, everyone. I finished another card last night, but was just too tired to post it.

I've really been trying to use what I already have rather than spending a lot on new stuff. So I used another 'new' toy on this card. New, in that I've never used it, but not so new in how long I've had it. If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you may remember this post from last October, where I had won an awesome bunch of Spellbinders product in their blog frenzy. Two of the items are impressabilities, which are thin metal plates that can be used as a stencil or embossed.

I used the one called floral & stone as a stencil to make my background. I taped it down over my card with masking tape and then just sponged rich razzleberry ink all over. Sponging gives a soft blurry look (that's not my lack of photography skills).

The dark cardstock is another one of those that I have in my stash, but don't know where I purchased it or who makes it. It's lightly textured on one side and smooth on the other. I used my Sizzix scallop circles #2 bigz die and paired it up with a large circle nestabilities - #5 (#1 being the smallest) of white cardstock.

I stamped the sewing machine from SU's puns from the past in black stazon in, sponged the edges of the circle and added some snaps from my sewing stash. Of course, I had to add some faux stitching.

A couple more strips of cardstock with some buttons finished off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a great day.
