Pillow inspiration

Hi my friends. Slept in and then just dilly-dallied around most of the day. DH & I did go out for a late Mexican lunch - yum! After a late dinner, I decided I really needed to spend some time with some ink and stamps, so I made a card for today's inspiration challenge on SCS. I used this gorgeous pillow as my inspiration.

I stamped a heron (stamping sensations) in navy pigment ink on watercolor paper and heat embossed it with clear EP. Then I went over the image with versamarker and embossed again. Then I spritzed the paper with water and added some brilliant blue and tempting turquoise ink and spread it a bit with a water brush. I layered some white and navy behind the image piece and added some brads and the sentiment (SU) using a couple of punches for that.

On the card base, I punched three strips of ballet blue with a scallop border punch, sponged them with navy ink and layered them offsetting the scallops to resemble waves. There is also a strip of navy magic mesh behind the main image.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be blessed.
