Hi my friends. It's been another hot day here today. At least the past several nights have been cool enough to turn off the A/C and open the windows.
Tonight I made a card for a challenge on the Blockheads facebook fan page to use a faux fabric technique. For mine, I used faux silk, but instead of using tissue paper, I used a coffee filter. After emptying the grounds, I washed the filter and dried it. Then I did some stamping using distress inks and Hero Arts stamps.
I colored a piece of card stock with spiced marmalade distress stain and then stamped the large Hero Arts flower on it, cut it out and added white gel pen to the center. The leaves are cut with deckle scissors, folded and crimped. Then I sponged peeled paint distress ink on the ridges. The black strip is punched with a Fiskars border punch. The sentiment is SU. Both the flower and sentiment are raised on dimensional tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great weekend.
