butterflies

Hello my friends.  Although it's still Monday, by the time I finish this post, it will probably be after midnight, so technically I'm not doing two posts in one day.

This is a card for another challenge from Our Daily Bread Designs.  This challenge was to make your own embellishments.  I made some faux brads by punching out little circles of black card stock with my crop-a-dile and then covering them with two coats of clear embossing powder.

The butterflies (ODBD) are stamped on shimmery white card stock that had been spritzed with water and then dropping ink refill on the wet card stock and allowing it to run and blend together.  I cut them all out and mounted them on mega classic ovals from Spellbinders, using some dimensional tape underneath the wings.  Behind that is a lotus pendant (Spellbinders) die cut from Basic Grey Indian Summer paper.

Thanks for visiting.

What a beautiful card Melody! I love those faux brads. They look real! The coloring of the butterflies and the sparkle is so pretty.
Thanks for joining the ODBD Shining the Light challenge this week!!
