double spirelli

Hello, my friends.  Are you glad that the busyness of Christmas is over?  We still don't have any snow.  Not that I'm complaining, but I don't think I can remember a year when we haven't had some snow before the end of the year, even if it melted.  Seriously, we've seen maybe a half inch on the ground, and that was gone before the end of the day.  We were getting some flurries earlier, but now that it's dark out, I can't really tell if anything is sticking or not.  Anyway, I'm sure we'll get some before too long.  This is Wisconsin after all.

Today, I made some stamping time and created a card for a StampTV challenge of making your own designer paper, as well as a challenge for Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium to use hearts.

The stamp set I used is called Nana's Needlework from Gina K Designs.  The background is stamped with various colors of distress inks.  I stamped the image with tuxedo black memento ink and colored with copic markers.  Then I cut out the image.  The doily hanging on the shelf was done as a separate piece.

For embellishment, I tried something a little different.  I did a double spirelli corner, basically just two spirelli corners that are offset.  I'm not sure if I like it or not, but it was fun to try.  I also added some pearls in the corners.

The sentiment is from SU.

Thank you for stopping by.
