cherish

Hi, it's me again.  I made a quick card for the February challenge on the All Things Tim Yahoo Group.  The requirements were that it had to be a valentine or about someone or something that you love and two of Tim's products needed to be used.

I used the vintage cabinet card die (for the first time, although I've had it awhile).  By placing my folded card stock so the fold was just inside the cutting edge, I have a folded piece on the front of a single card layer, instead of the entire card opening up.  I added some sponging with perfect plum ink and faux stitching around the edge.

To create the musical strip, I swiped my ink pad across the tissue tape and then placed it on the card.

The hearts (from punch potpourri - SU) are stamped in perfect plum and punched out with a heart punch that matches the stamp.  I colored the flowers with a blender pen and victorian velvet distress ink.   I again added faux stitching and sponging along the edges.

I stamped the word cherish (warm words - SU) below the hearts in perfect plum ink.

I used Tim's rosette die to make the rosette from some pattern paper that I picked up for pennies at a store closing.

Some sponging and faux stitching around the card base completed the card.

Thanks for stopping by.
