Hi friends. Here I am again with another card for the challenge on Motley Soul Mixed-Media Art. This is #6. If I keep going at this rate, I may actually complete them all.
Please refer to this post to see how I made the base for my cards.
For this card, I decided to use my Inspiration Jar again. (See this post for an explanation.) My daughter decided to help, so she pulled out three prompts for me: ribbon, water, and background stamps.
I started with leaf & floral background from Hero Arts, and colored randomly with distress markers. Then I spritzed it with water and stamped on my card. I really love this background.
Then I pulled out some grosgrain ribbon to match the colors and glued them near the bottom.
Finally, I pulled out an already stamped, colored (with Copics) and cut out flower (Aztec Gold Sunflowers - Heartfelt Creations). I wrote the word 'bloom' on the petals and glued it down and decided my card was finished. I'm sure I could have added more, but I chose to leave it as is. I think simple is often more effective than going overboard with added embellishments.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
