Hi my friends,
Today, the ways to use it challenge on SCS was using die cuts. Well, I have many dies to choose from, so I decided to play along. I first die cut a piece of white cardstock with the mini baroque movers & shapers die from Tim Holtz. Then I pulled out an old, much loved SU stamp set called Roses in Winter. I stamped the rose in pink passion and rich razzleberry and also used the rock 'n roll technique. The leaves were stamped with pear pizzazz and always artichoke. I sponged a very narrow edging of rich razzleberry around the edge and on each layer of the card.
The next layer was die cut in certainly celery with frame back ornate #3 die from Sizzix and then embossed with retro diamonds embossing folder (Quickuts). For some color in the background, I stamped lattice backgrounder (Cornish Heritage Farms) in certainly celery and added some mini photo corner punches.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

I loved seeing this card in the SCS gallery. You really knock the socks off this rose...if it wore socks! haha
Beautiful! I don't think I'll ever grow tired of Roses in Winter
Oh! Roses in Winter!! I do believe that this SU set was, is and may always be my favorite ever. Beautiful card, Melody.
I can honestly say, that this is one SU set I so regret never getting!!
This turned out lovely, Melody!
This is so pretty! Love this stamp set too...makes me want to get it out and play, it's been too long.
