hope you can cling to days 14 and 15

Hi friends.  I have more cards for the challenges on SCS for breast cancer awareness.  Click here for more information.

Challenge sixteen - Blingtastic.  A card using glitter and rhinestones.

This card was very simple.  I stamped the largest stamp from wedding sweet (SU) with aqua color box pigment ink and embossed it with irridescent ice embossing powder.  Then I added the sentiment from warm words (SU) and attached some blue rhinestones.

Challenge seventeen -- Bursting with Hope.  A card using a starburst or sunburst technique.
I cut a bunch of scraps of pink designer paper into pieces 4"x1-1/2" and then cut them in half diagonally.  I then arranged them into a sunburst design and glued them down.  I added another piece of patterned paper below the sunburst.  I had a piece of black card stock that had been die cut with vintage lace die, so I used that at the lower edge of the sunburst.

I die cut labels seventeen (spellbinders) in white, and then traced around the die and cut it out so that I'd have just a narrow border around the white layer.  I stamped the flourish from friendship blooms (SU) and then stamped the flower on one of the designer papers and cut it out before attaching it to the white card stock.

Challenge eighteen -- Warm & Furry Fuzzies.  A card with a critter that is fur covered.  This challenge is specifically for kids, but also for those who are young at heart.  Since the cards are for a good cause, I decided to play along.

I do not own a lot of animal stamps, so I went searching.  Then I remembered that I have a couple of older hedgehog stamp sets from SU.  This image is from hedgehog happiness.  I stamped the image in tuxedo black memento ink and colored it with copic markers.  Then I die cut the image with a circle die from spellbinders.  I also embossed the paper while in the die and sponged on cool caribbean ink, which leaves a nice white border.

I backed the circle with a turquoise lotus pendant die cut.  I love using black, because it makes things pop, so I backed the image with a black square.  Then I die cut two white borders using borders & hydrangeas and attached them to the top and bottom of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
